FFF - Lovely layers

Friday, January 31, 2014
Hiya all! Can't believe another Friday has flown around so quickly - and it's almost February. Welcome to another Farm Fresh Friday.

For this challenge I flicked through my Greeting Farm stamps and pulled out one that I bought a few years ago but never had the opportunity to ink up - Chelsea. I teamed her up with patterned paper from My Mind's Eye - Lemon Twist 6x6 pad - Happy Go Lucky.

Here is a close up of the coloured image.

Make sure you check out what all the other DT members have created and pull out your layers and join us for FFF.

Have a wonderful weekend.

FFF - Red, White and Blue!

Friday, January 24, 2014
Hiya fellow farmers! Welcome to another fabulous Farm Fresh Friday. I hope you have had a fantastic week - and now is the perfect opportunity with the weekend coming up to pull out those TGF stamps, and play along with the challenge.

So on to this week's challenge:
"Red, white and blue!"

Just to explain my choice, it is Australia Day on the 26th January here in Australia, and I was feeling patriotic. It is the day that we celebrate our nation. Our flag is red, white and blue (as are many around the world), hence my colour choice, so pull out your colours and play along. You can use other colours as well but make red, white and blue your focal.

For my card I used one of the new Miss Anya Night Out Images. Coloured her hair red and dress blue, my white is in the stars and the greeting which I embossed with white embossing powder. The fireworks are from a Simon Says Stamp set - Cupcake party. I stamped with versamark ink the brushed on red, blue and gold perfect pearls.

Make sure you check out what all the other DT members have created and pull out your red, white and blue and join us for FFF.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Kraftin' Kimmie - Seize the Sketch Challenge

Sunday, January 19, 2014
I've joined in another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - sponsored by Seize the Sketch

I pulled out another Kraftin' Kimmie stamp that had been uninked - Joanie. Coloured with Copic markers. Thought I would go for the pink look. If you look closely her eyeshadow is sparkly thanks to copic Spica clear pen.

Here is the sketch to inspire my card.

Thanks for looking!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Saturday, January 18, 2014
Hiya everyone! The heat wave we have been experiencing in Victoria for the last 4 days has finally subsided and now we are experiencing a much more civilised 22 degrees Celsius. It was tough going - especially trying to sleep at night. But now with the cooler weather time to get some crafting done!! I am also on two weeks of annual leave - YIPPEE!!  It's been so long since I have had time off work. So now I am going to spend some time getting involved with some challenges to get my creative juices flowing again.

So today I am playing along with Kraftin' Kimmie's first Wonderful Wednesday Challenge for the year - Anything Goes.

I have a lot of Kraftin' Kimmie stamps that have never been inked up - I just love the images I keep buying them - LOL. So I finally inked up Diana and coloured her with Copic markers. Also pulled out some patterned paper which is quite old - it's amazing what you find in your stash when you actually look. The paper is From BasicGrey - Olivia collection. I tried to make it look like Diana was sitting on the floor in her little girl's new nursery with pretty wallpaper and pink carpet. For the kick board rail I used white cardstock and scored it to make it look like the wood.

Here is a close up of the coloured image.

Thanks so much for looking. Have a wonderful weekend!

FFF - Love is in the Air!

Friday, January 17, 2014
Hiya everyone - another Friday, another fabulous challenge over at the TGF blog for Farm Fresh Friday!

The theme for FFF this week, hosted by the lovely Chitra, is - Love is in the Air!

Where I live in Australia we are experiencing a heat wave - with 4 days of temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius (which I think is about 110 Fahrenheit), so I have been trying to keep cool. This super cute TGF stamp "Hello Ian" that I used makes me think cool thoughts as he is rugged up with a scarf lol! I coloured Ian with Copic Markers, and Prismacolour pencils.

FFF - Bling it up!

Friday, January 10, 2014
Hiya everyone - another Friday, another fabulous challenge over at the TGF blog for Farm Fresh Friday!

The theme for FFF this week, hosted by the lovely Marcy, is - BLING!

For my card I used one of the Miss Anya Night Out images, and I went bling overload!! I spent quite awhile laying sequins on her dress. You know when you get an idea of a card in your head, then you go to do it and realise that it was harder than it seemed in my head!! Anyway I persisted and loved the result. I also glittered her shoes, and of course had to add some earrings!

And here is a close up of the image.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #124 - Clean and Simple

Tuesday, January 7, 2014
Hiya all!  Back again with a new card to share that I put together for my next door neighbour and I was delighted to find out that it also perfectly fit in with the latest Tiddly Inks Challenge - Clean and Simple! My neighbour has some beautiful fruit trees in their backyard and they are laden with fruit and he brought over 2 huge plastic shopping bags filled with beautiful apricots. I have since made them into jam, and eaten quite a few. Nothing like fruit off the tree. So I made this card to say thankyou.

I used the gorgeous dog image from Tiddly Inks - Dog Days. He is coloured with Copic markers and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink - Signature Greetings.

Here is a close up of the image.  He is sooo cute!
I used glossy accents on his nose to give it some shine which is a bit hard to see in the photo.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Farm Fresh Friday - Clean & Simple!

Friday, January 3, 2014
Hello everyone. This is my first Farm Fresh Friday as at DT member! So excited. Hope you all play along too.
The theme for FFF this week hosted by the lovely Lysa is.... CLEAN & SIMPLE!

Here is my card. I used the girl image from The Greeting Farm set - Later Sk8er and again used the no lines colouring technique. I then teamed her up with some Bo Bunny paper in my favourite colour ... PURPLE! lol The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set - Grunge Rock.
Here is a close up of the image. I actually coloured this in awhile ago and she has been sitting cut out on my desk begging to be put on a card. So this was the perfect opportunity.
Be sure to visit The Greeting Farm blog to see some beautiful creations from the Design Team, and to see how to play along with this week's challenge.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!  :)

TGF Release Day!!!!

Wednesday, January 1, 2014
HAPPY 2014, everyone!
I can't believe I got through my first TGF DT release! I already love being part of this great team. I am all ready for a big 2014, how about you?
Today is not only the start to a fab new year on the Farm, but it's also our JANUARY RELEASE DAY!
We are ringing in 2014 with Miss Anya Night Out, Frou Frou Believe, and Sweet Bean…all available in the TGF STORE now!  This is of course, in addition to our 5 new team members.  So exciting!  Thanks so much for such a swell start as preview week was a huge success and super fun, too!
Now…the minute you've all been waiting for….
Our JANUARY RELEASE HOP!
One lucky winner who visits all of the DT's blogs, comments, and comes back here letting us know they did will take home the ENTIRE JANUARY RELEASE!
Let's kick things off right!  Here we go…

For my release day card I had to use the last Miss Anya that I haven't featured yet. I wanted to make her look classy and sophisticated like she was about to go on a fabulous "night out"!! I didn't realise how hard it was to take a photo when the card uses acetate. I used clear acetate with a black damask design over black glitter cardstock. I think I took about 15 photos to get it right!! Unfortunately you can't see the sparkle in Miss Anya's dress on this one so took a closer photo on an angle below.
Here is a close up of the image to see the sparkle on her dress. I used a silver Wink of Stella pen. I think the sparkle turned out more gold than silver but she still looks ready for a night out on the town for her birthday!!!
Another close up of the image...

Now head off to Jodi's blog and see her fabulous release day creation...
KRISTINA DISHON - You are here!!
You have until NOON CST on 1/2/14 to complete the hop and enter to WIN!  Winner will be announced tomorrow on our FACEBOOK page, so stay tuned!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014 from all of us on the Farm!

Thanks for looking....
