I love this image - "Vivienne" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. She is so sassy. The Patterned paper is from Kaiserkraft.
A close up of the image - coloured with Copics. It's a bit hard to see but I used some stickles on her outfit and in the feathers. I also used glossy accents on her high heels, necklace and feather centres.

Tree-mendous

Thursday, October 21, 2010
Made this fun card last night with the cutest Whiff of Joy stamp N163 "Wee and Christmas Tree" Coloured using Copics.

And the sentiment from hero Arts set CL465 - Tree-mendous was just perfect for this tree themed christmas card.

Kaisercraft trees and Holly

Wednesday, October 20, 2010
I love the new Kaisercraft range - Be Merry - with the trees and the holly. They were perfect for this card which was inspired by a card designed by Debbie Olsen. Where Debbie used stamps for the tress, I cut the trees out of the patterned paper. I really love the effect Debbie used with the felt snow cut with pinking shears.

Iris Folded Christmas Cards

I have been getting into iris folding lately. I always wanted to do it and thought - ooh that looks tricky - but once I worked out how to do it, it is much easier that you would think. And the wonderful world of the internet gives you access to loads of free templates. These two cards I made from templates from www.circleofcrafters.com. The new Alison Ellis range of christmas papers was perfect for the project.

Cute Brigette

Monday, October 18, 2010

Love my C. C. Designs stamps. Riley went to a friend's birthday party this weekend so made the card for Summer. Always wonder if a 5 year old is going to appreciate the time and effort I went to making a card for them hehe. Probably not.

Used beautiful Echo Park paper, the first time I have used it from my stash. Papertrey Ink sentiment.

Create on Garden August Challenge Pack

Monday, August 16, 2010
So I thought it was about time I took on another Create on Garden Challenge Pack. However, as the challenge was a layout, it was kinda hard to get all the elements on a card, so even if it isn't exactly to the recipe I had fun making it anyway.

I used one of my new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Goldilocks. KKS stamps are so fun to play with, the images are just so different to anything else I have seen on the market. They are great fun to colour in with Copics too. The paper used was from Basic Grey.
And of course a look inside the card.

Lime Tart - A La Tarte August Kit

Saturday, August 14, 2010
Got my new Lime Tart - August A La Tarte Kit in the mail this week. Loved the papers, and this is my first card that I put together with it.

Father's Day

Friday, August 13, 2010
Once again Father's Day is getting closer and closer, and this year I am going to be prepared!! So to inspire me I am going to be teaching a father's day card class at Create on Garden. I will be using the Hero Arts Clear Set - CL335 Happy Dad's Day. The first card is one I designed last year but I loved it.
The second card is inspired by Hero Arts - here. I didn't have all the same stamps but made do with what I had. I loved making the medal. So hopefully my class with love it as much as I do.

Laying Nora

Tuesday, August 3, 2010
Playing around with some new C.C. Designs stamps at the moment - love when I get a new delivery!! This stamp is the cutest - Laying Nora. I coloured her in with copics, then cut out with a nestabilities which I used as a frame to then sponge the blue. Used Kaisercraft's new Hippy Girl Collection patterened paper. The sentiment is from PTI - Take Three: Summer Set.
A closer look at the stamped image. I glittered Nora's wings.
Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E51
Dress: RV10, RV13, RV14, YR20, YR23, YR16, BG10 and BG23
Hair: E55, E57, E59.

Baby Card

I have been making more baby cards. I love these little feet by Hero Arts (B1022 - Baby Feet) and the beautiful sentiments from Papertrey Ink set - Inside & Out: Baby
On the inside of the card I used the baby border from the Papertrey Ink set - Night, Night Moon.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Vivienne

Wednesday, July 28, 2010
I have recently discovered and fallen completely in love with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. The designs are so fun and cheeky and really different from a lot of other stamps on the market.

Here is my first card. I coloured Vivienne in with copics, and used the beautiful patterened paper from Bo Bunny - Peacock Lane.

Pure Innocence - better get better

Saturday, July 17, 2010

Such a cute stamp to break out to make a get well card - Better Get Better from Pure Innocence. The paper is Kaisercraft - Utopia collection. Love purple and Green together.

A close up of the stamped image which I coloured with Copics.

Harry the Monster

My son and I are going to a 5 year old Monster Birthday party today at a local play centre, so time to pull out the monster themed card!

Used the cutes harry the monster from Squigglefly - he is a digi stamp and so cute. The Paper is from a range called Monster from Reminisce, and the sentiment comes from a Hero Arts set CL391 Monster Fun.
Also entered this one in the Caardvarks challenge - to create a birthday card and the Crazy4Challenges challenge C4C46 - Buttons.

Beautiful Peacock

Sunday, July 11, 2010
When the new Hero Arts Catalogue came out and I saw the Peacock Set (CL 447 - Beautiful Peacocks) I knew I had to get it. I am really into purples and aquas at the moment so it was perfect. Teaming the image with the new Bo Bunny Range - Peacock Lane. Coloured with Copics and added lots of bling to the tail.

I also did the inside of the card.

Puppy Kiki La Rue - Caardvarks Challenge

I have been finding a bit more time to do some cards - seems harder and harder to just get some time to  myself these days. So I needed to inspire myself, so a challenge from Caardvarks seemed just the ticket. The challenge was to create a birthday card.

Perfect opportunity to use this cute Kiki La Rue stamp by CC Designs. Coloured her in with my Copics and the used beautiful Kaisercraft Utopia paper.

A closer look at my stamped image.

I have also been inspired to start doing the insides of my cards too, seems to feel more complete that way.

Shaker Card - under the Sea

Wednesday, June 30, 2010
Stayed up late last night putting together a card that I am going to teach next week at Create on Garden - a Shaker Card. I have been introducing my students to the great uses for clear acetate.

I used the Hero Arts set CL372 - Oceans of Joy, and coloured in the images wth Copics.

Loving Skater Ian

Sunday, June 27, 2010
Another card I made using a cute Skater Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm. The images are so cute and easy to colour in with Copics. Paper from Kaisercraft.

Anya Ink Challenge #3 Add some bling

Another Anya Ink Challenge to play along this week, and this week you have to add some BLING!! Always love the bling. And I am doubly excited because I got my new camera - YAY!! So now I can take decent photos again.

I used the gorgeous Greeting Farm digi stamp "Dressy Ebony" and coloured in with Copics - of course! Used some Basic Grey paper and the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.

Your Next Stamp Challenge #18

Sunday, June 20, 2010
I'm back - after two weeks of moving house and getting settled in with my parents I am finally back into the swing of things. However I have to apologise for the photo - the camera is one of the things which is in a box .... somewhere ...

Anyway, the Your Next Stamp Challenge is to add Buttons. So I did this card for a friend's son's birthday - he does Karate so I thought the Karate Ian digi stamp was perfect for him. I didn't have a YNS stamp to use. Anyway, layered some Kaisercraft Paper and coloured little Ian in with Copic Markers. Such a fun card to make.

The first challenge at Anya Ink

Saturday, May 22, 2010
It's been such a long time since I played along with any challenges. So when Anya Ink put up their first challenge of making a Easel card I had to play along. I have always wanted to make one of these, so this is my first attempt.

I used CC Designs stamp "Gretel" and paper from Kaisercraft - 6x6 pad - Hey Birdie Collection, Ribbon from Papertrey Ink. Coloued Gretel with Copics of course!!

Farewell card

Saturday, May 15, 2010
A colleague at work left recently and this was the card I made for him.

Copic Certification

Saturday, May 8, 2010
What an inspiring day!
I spent all of my Saturday with a fantastic bunch of people doing the Copic Certification course at the Novotel in Melbourne. SO many new tips and tricks to try, so many new friends and new blogs to visit. It is amazing how inspired you become when you get to speak with other crafters.
I love the Copic markers - vibrant colours, so many uses - and I am in love with the airbrushing!!
This is actually the only image I managed to complete all day. But she is so cute - can't wait to make her into a card.

Now I just have to get back to my craft table and put into practice that which I have learnt.

Hello Again

Monday, April 19, 2010
Hi All
Sorry for my absence, it has been 5 months since my last post and it is about time I got back into the swing of things.

For those close to me thankyou for all the support over the last 5 months, it has been tough, but good things have come out of it and my husband and I remain the best of friends although we have now parted ways.

So I will be posting more cards soon, I am back doing classes at Create on Garden, and my life is getting back to a new kind of "normal".

Thanks

Kristina
