Hero Arts Challenge - Complimentary Colours

Sunday, June 28, 2009
I finally found some time to participate in a Hero Arts Challenge, which for this week was complementary colours. I decided to use the Orange and Blue option for my card.

I drew my inspiration, and flower technique from Dawn McVey - here. Love her vintage distressed flower technique. I didn't have those flower punches she used, so I used my Slice, using one of the flowers on the Basics 1 card.

Depth Perception Challenge

Here is my contribution to the Caardvarks - Depth Perception Challenge - click here.

I have wanted to do one of these accordion cards for a long time, and thought this was the perfect opportunity. I had such fun colouring in the jungle animals!

I used Tim Holtz distress inks for the grass and sky - broken china and shabby Shutters. The animals I coloured in with watercolour pencils, and the stamps are from Autumn Leaves.

Here is a side on view to see the folds.
