TGF - Day 3 Preview

Tuesday, December 31, 2013
Welcome back to DAY 3 of the TGF JANUARY PREVIEWS!!!

Today we preview a super cutie stamp - Sweet Bean!! She is so adorable with her flowing hair - and perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day, she can shower hearts of love on someone special.

Here is my card. She is coloured with Copics and I could not go past the fabulous bright blue for her hair - I love this colour combination. I also used the no line colouring technique. For any of you out there wanting to have a go at this technique it is a little more time consuming but very rewarding. Remember that some of the detail needs to be put in with pencils - I use Prismacolour.

Monday, December 30, 2013
Hi Everyone!!  welcome to DAY 2 of the JANUARY PREVIEWS at The Greeting Farm. The new stamp we are featuring today is Frou Frou Believe.

I coloured her with Copic Makers and teamed her up with some patterned paper by My Mind's Eye - Stella Rose 6 x 6 pad. I have had this pad for ages and finally pulled it out and loved the orange and aqua for inspiration.

TGF - Day 1 Preview

Friday, December 27, 2013
Hi everyone! Welcome to DAY 1 of the JANUARY PREVIEWS over at The Greeting Farm. The first release features a new FABULOUS Anya set: Miss Anya - Night Out.

So if you haven't figured out the exciting news ... I am now part of The Greeting Farm design team!!!  EEEEKKKK!!  I am so honoured and excited to be part of such a fantastic and inspirational team. I have always loved the TGF images - fantastic to colour with Copic markers, fun and cute images, so to be part of the team is so fantastic.

I got super excited and created two cards for the Day 1 preview.

This is the first card I made. I wanted to keep the design simple and clean so Miss Anya could really shine!!

My second card used another Miss Anya from the new set (there are 3 all together). I loved the shorter hair on this one - and reached for one of my favourite colours - purple!!

No Peeking!

I have long admired the stamps at The Cat's Pajamas. I love the oh so cute penguins - so when they had their Black Friday sale I finally splurged and bought some. They are also having a sale on now with 25% off so head over and check out the cute images and grab a bargain.

Yes I know Christmas has been and gone but there are still a few Christmas cards to share now that the rush and business of Christmas is over.

Here is the card that I made for my mum and dad - love the image ("Give a Little" set) !! I coloured with Copics and then pulled out some new washi tape from Stampin' Up - instant card!!

Quilled Daffodil

Sunday, December 15, 2013
I used to do a lot of quilling when I was in high school. With so many fantastic images on the internet it is very easy to get inspired, and I think I might have caught the quilling bug again!! Here is a card I put together to teach at Create on Ormond.

Merry Always

Saturday, December 7, 2013
I am really getting inspired again to make cards and to participate in a few challenges - I always look at challenges and then forget about them as I am usually too busy - or too tired! But now I feel like I have my mojo back - so it was time to participate in The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday.

This week's challenge is "All That Sparkles". Use rhinestones, glitter, glittered papers, metallic papers, or.......well, you get the idea, anything nice and sparkly.

I also took the opportunity to bust out the no line colouring technique again. The stamped images look so different with this technique. I teamed Holiday Anya 2 up with some lovely Christmas Paper by Authentique - Festive.

Cyber-Monday Celebration Hop with the Greeting Farm

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

I have been loving my Greeting Farm stamps lately, as you would see if you scrolled down a little at my last few posts. I love their images and they are great to practice your copic colouring - nice big areas of space to play around with shading.

I have been admiring so many people's work on the net - especially the examples of no line colouring so I have delved in and started practising and let me tell you I love it.

Here is the card I have made for the Hop using the Greeting Farm Later Sk8ter stamp. I used the no-line colouring method. It takes a little longer and you really need to go over an over the image to get it just how you like it but I think the effect is fantastic.

And here is a close up of the image.

The Greeting Farm Cyber Hop!

Monday, December 2, 2013
I will be participating in The Greeting Farm's Cyber-Monday Celebration hop....
stay tuned to see my creation.

Princess Anya

Tuesday, November 26, 2013
 Hello!!

Another Greeting Farm stamp used today. I loved colouring Princess Anya's hair on this one. I paper peiced her dress and her crown and wand. I really tried to make her sparkle! I added gem swirls and then die cut the stars from glitter card stock using a MFT die. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

A close up look at the image.

CASology - Week 71

Monday, November 25, 2013
I am starting to try to play along with a few challenges - I never seem to get the time but I have vowed to make time. So when I saw the latest challenge on CASology - I decided I would pull out my Lil' Inker Designs die - Jingle Joy. I die cut the letters and bell from glitter cardstock. Added sequins for some extra interest.

Merry Snowy Anya

I have been playing with my Copic markers lately and I find that the stamps from The Greeting Farm are great to use as they have quite large spaces to colour. I have even had my first go a no line colouring and I will post that tomorrow.

This card is my entry for The Greeting Farm - Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - with the theme being SNOW.

I pulled out last year's Simon Says Stamp December 2012 card kit and used papers and the Merry from that kit. I coloured the wooden Merry with a red copic marker then went over it with Diamond stickles - it is quite sparkly ad the photo does not show it up as well. I have so many kits that I have to start using! I am also loving sequins at the moment and they are perfect to imitate snow!

I used white glitter cardstock for the snow drift - it is sparkly but again does not show up as well in the photo.

Holiday Anya

Wednesday, October 9, 2013
I have been working on a few Christmas cards lately and fell in love with the Holiday Anya 2 stamp from The Greeting Farm. I love the bow around her dress. I teamed her up with some stunning paper from Lilybeedesign - Christmas Cheer 6x6 pad. Love all the bold patterns. Coloured her with Copic Sketch markers and used the great snowflake die from My Favourite Things Stamps.

Close up of Holiday Anya - the photo does not show the sparkly bow as I went over it with a Clear Spica glitter pen.

I have entered this card into the latest Garden Variety Challenge on The Greeting Farm Blog.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - #19 Anything Goes

Saturday, October 5, 2013
I have been a fan of Tiddly Inks for some time now, and I love that they now do clear stamps. I don't have ready access to a printer at home so the digital images just seem too much hassle to print. I love stamps and ink!!

So now with my recent purchases it was time to ink up and play along with one of the Tiddly Inks Challenges - #19 Anything Goes.

I used Wryn from the set Friends are Flowers, stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Sketch Markers. The paper is from Echo Park.

Mother's Day - Anya - 2

Sunday, June 16, 2013
My Second Mother's Day card with Flirty Anya from The Greeting Farm.

Once again coloured with Copics and paper pieced dress and flower. The patterned paper was from a Lime Tart - A la Tarte Kit from ages ago. I have a lot of those kits that I need to start using. I have quite a stockpile so I have made sure that I am not buying anymore supplies until I start getting through what I have already got. Has anyone else made the same pledge to themselves???

Mother's Day Edward

Saturday, June 15, 2013
The next of my mother's day card with another great The Greeting Farm Stamp - Edward. I looked on their website and it looks like you can't purhase this stamp anymore which is a shame. It is great for paper peicing. I used some Kaisercraft paper for this card and paper pieced Edward's shirt, vest and trousers.

A close up of the coloured image. I am getting more confident when colouring black hair with Copic Markers.

Mother's Day Anya

Friday, June 14, 2013
I once again made a boxful of cards for my son's school's Mother's Day Stall. I will share them with you ove the next few days.  First up I used the lovely Flirty Anya from The Greeting Farm. I paper pieced Anya's dress and also the flower in her hair. I coloured Anya in with Copic Markers.

Here is a close up of the coloured image. Fir the flower in her hair I stamped the image three times and cut it out and layered it together using foam dots. I also added some diamond stickles for some sparkle.

Wedding Cards

Thursday, June 13, 2013
Thought I should add a few wedding cards to my stash which seems to be getting quite low. I used various stamps from Papertrey Ink and Stampin' Up for these cards.

My Dad's Birthday

Wednesday, June 12, 2013
I am a bit behind in my blogging - my Dad's birthday wa on 19th April!! Anyway here is the card I made with lots of lovely Papertrey Ink Products.

The Background was embossed with the Argyle Impressions Plate. I used "A little Argyle" stamp set to build the background and the greeting comes from the "Enjoy the Ride" stamp set.

Skater Ian Card

Tuesday, June 11, 2013
My son went to a friend's 8th Birthday party so I naturally reached for my Skater Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm. He is such a fun character to work with and great to colour. Used Copic Markers to colour him. The 8 is cut with By The Numbers die from Papertrey Ink.

I really need to make a mental note to start writing down what Copic colours I used so that I can share that with you all as well.

Copic Class - Stipple technique

Wednesday, March 6, 2013
This week at Create on Ormond I am teaching a Copic marker class and the technique of stipple. Stippling is the use of dots to create the image and with Copics, you can use it to create shading and texture. We will be using Kaisercraft stamps - seahorse and turtle - they are so cute.

Lattice Cards

Wednesday, February 20, 2013
This week at Create on Garden I am teaching two "lattice" type cards. Think gardens and flowers. A great way to use up that stash of roses and punched leaves. Sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

Valentine's Day

Sunday, February 3, 2013
Although I am not a huge fan of Valentine's Day (I think it is way too commercial and you should express your love for your partner on a daily basis and not on one day of the year) I usually do a card class at Crate on Ormond this time of year more a a celebration of love!

I was inspired by a card that I saw online made by Susie Lessard - thanks for the inspiration!!  The card I saw was had LOVE on the vertical but I quite like it on the horizontal and creates a longer card.

Happy Birthday

Friday, February 1, 2013
Recent card using items from Lime Tart A La Tart kit I got last year. Greeting stamp from Papertrey Ink.
