This fun card was made using supplies from Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit. And so I thought I would enter it in the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes" Challenge this week. Then sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set and the stamp is from My Favorite Things Stamps - Pure Innocence.
Surfing Miles
I had a big card making weekend - I made ten cards, which in the scheme of things may not seem like many but that was on top of doing the housework, etc etc etc. So I now have lots to share.
I needed a card for a work colleague, and I always struggle with male cards. But I pulled out my little "Surfing Miles" stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps which I had bought about 2 years ago but had never inked up!! Coloured him with Copics.
Thank You

Just started a new job this week after nearly 4 years at my previous job. I had nine staff so I decided that I would thank them for all their hard work and support whilst I was managing them. This is the card that I made using a lovely Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and papers from an A La Tarte Kit from LimeTart. Coloured image in with Copics.
Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit and Challenge
Tuesday, April 3, 2012
I got home the other day to find that lovely red postal card in my mailbox and was busting to be able to get to the post office to pick up my package from Simon Says Stamp. So when I finally picked up my April Card Kit - Sunnier Days - I was excited to play along with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes!.
This is all the fun stuff in the kit - which included a limited edition stamp set. Love the umbrella!!
Here is the card I came up with. I paper pieced the umbrella, and used versamark ink and clear embossing powder for the raindrops.
Birthday Chick
For Christmas my wonderful partner bought me the big pack of Prisma Colour pencils - yes the whole set! And I keep opening them, gazing in adoration at them then closing the box. So I decided I better acutally use them as that is what they are for. Sharpening that first pencil is always the hardest, just like cutting that first piece of cardstock, or fabric, it is so pristine and you don't want to stuff it up - lol. Anyway, I stamped this cute little birthday chick image and started to colour and layer and colour. I used glossy accents on the ballon, and the sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.
A La Tarte - 50th Birthday
Monday, April 2, 2012
A friend asked me to make a 50th birthday card for a friend of hers. I love doing special requests but with not other information than a 50th birthday for a woman, it is ometimes hard to know what they will like. I pulled out an A La Tarte kit from Lime Tart that I had not used yet and set to work, using a card by Jennifer McGuire as inspiration. The acetate panel concept is fantastic.
