Yellow Dress

Monday, May 28, 2012
In my new job I have 16 staff and I am determined to make them all handmade cards on their birthdays! So this is the latest one for a birthday this week. I used the Fancy Dress stamp from Hero Arts, and the sentiment is from the Signature Greetings set from Papertrey Ink. I used my Lime Tart A La Tarte Kit for most of the paper and cardstock.

Monday, March 26, 2012

More Newspaper Tulips

Monday, March 19, 2012
I am loving this Hero Arts stamp - newspaper Tulips. Here is a card that I am doing as a class at Create on Ormond - the theme of the class is using different products for inking the stamp. This card is done with markers, and I only used half the image on the stamp.

Newspaper Tulips

Thursday, March 15, 2012

I have loved this stamp from the moment I saw it and have been inspired by other cards on here. I used the marker technique to ink the stamp, then spritzed with some water and stamped on watercolour paper. This is a small 4" x 4" card, I love making the small size. The lovely seam binding is from Stampin' Up.

Faux stone

Thursday, March 8, 2012
I used a Faux Stone technique on this card using three paint colours and a toothbrush. I then ran the painted piece through an embossing folder then applied distress ink with a blending tool over the top.

Father's Day Card

Wednesday, August 24, 2011
Here is an origami shirt card that I made for a Father's Day Card class at Create on Ormond. SO many great UTube videos on origami these days! The tie was trickey as I tied a proper full windsor knot - it is the only way I know how to tie a tie, after 6 years of wearing one at school. Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Explosion Purse and Card

Friday, August 19, 2011
I found a template for this cure Explosion Purse - but now I can't find the link!!  The little card can fit inside the purse.

Centre Step Card

Wednesday, July 13, 2011
I saw this great tutorial over on Splicoast Stampers and had a go. Easy to make but really effective and striking. I love how it is really solid in the way it stands up.

I used the "Friends" background stamp from Hero Arts, and the flower stamp is from Penny Black - 3818J - Wind Caressed. I coloured with pencils then used glossy accents on the petals of the flowers. Paper is from Kaisercraft.

Spring Wreath

Tuesday, May 17, 2011
This is a card I have made for my next card class at Create on Garden. I love this Hero Arts stamp - so versatile. The flower is from Kaisercraft, Ribbon from Martha Stewart. I stamped the wreath with versamark then embossed with white embossing powder. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Inks over the image.

Easter Card

Thursday, April 21, 2011
It's been so long since I posted anything - my computer has been having issues of uploading so haven't been able to post any cards recently. This is a card I have designed for my card class at "Create on Garden". I had fun making it, especially weaving the basket. I used the patterned egg stamp from Hero Arts, the Martha Stewart grass punch and the bunny I pieced together from punched pieces.
